Tall Vase in Komorebi

10.75" H, 5.25" dia., 3.25" dia. opening

Komorebi is a Japanese word used to describe sunlight filtered through tree leaves. The Heath Clay Studio team recreated this dappled light effect by applying heavy base layers of glaze, spraying another layer on top, and then carefully carving into the surface to reveal the organic shapes underneath. Available in limited quantities on our Heath Clay Studio Tall Vase as part of our Summer Collection.

We recommend hand washing studio pieces with a mild, non-acidic and non-abrasive dish detergent, such as Seventh Generation or Planet Dishwashing Detergent. Please note that direct use on wood may cause water marks or scratching.

Edith Heath’s proprietary clay body doesn’t leave any time for rest when slipcasting in the Clay Studio. The Tall Vase rests in its plaster mold for exactly 15 minutes to reach the perfect density.
